Smyle Creative Ltd

Smyle Creative are a vibrant, young company specialising in event managenment, production and film.

In a very competitive field, Smyle wished to improve the way that they presented their proposals to prospective clients, and commissioned Imagen to come up with some ideas.

Smyle’s corporate image centred around the silver ‘smyle’ logo and incorporated a black background featuring matt lamination. Imagen took this image and used ‘Touch’ pvc for the external binder cover. ‘Touch’ is an expanded pvc, providing a soft, padded feel together with a matt finish which corresponded perfectly with Smyle’s corporate image.

The company logo was then foil blocked in silver and de-bossed, creating a stark contrast to the matt black of the pvc. With the additional finishing touches of matt black metal corners and silver stitching, the A3 landscape sized binders are designed to create a lasting impression in the minds of prospective clients.

Inside the binders the theme is continued with matt black painted mechanisms.

Proposals are often supplied with an accompanying CD, so provision was made by adding a matt clear pvc pocket on the inside cover together with three business card pockets to enable the cards for the relevant members of Smyle’s staff who would be co-ordinating the project to be at the prospective clients fingertips.

To complete the whole design concept of the proposal binder, a set of three divider tabs were added. These were manufactured in a matching matt black finish board and featured the ‘Smyle’ logo, once again foil blocked in silver. The three divider tabs were also finished with titles foiled in silver.
